Recipes
Sometimes you just need something that is going to be a meal the entire family will devour.
Other times, you want a recipe that will make the house smell incredible.
Lucky for you, this one accomplishes both!
This is our One Pot Chicken and Sausage Casserole. It is incredibly delicious and filled with amazing ingredients. The beauty of this recipe is you can swap ingredients and make it your own.
We have some kids in the house who don’t love beans, so we keep the beans out. You might like a little spice in your life and you can add some serrano peppers or jalapenos. Maybe you want it to be even healthier so you can toss in a variety of veggies.
Have fun with it and let the kids help you by tossing the different ingredients in the dutch oven.
Remember to look for clever ingredient swaps and FAQs on more and more recipes every week!
We know you love the Foodness Gracious newsletter, but if you’re looking for another to brighten your week, we recommend FamilyMade. It is a really cute and informative newsletter from Shawn Johnson and her husband (and their three children) and it is always something that makes me smile and remember cheering on Shawn during her Olympics in 2008!
Reviews
Don’t have a dutch oven to make the One Pot Chicken and Sausage Casserole?
We’ve got you covered with three great options in our Dutch Oven Reviews.
As with all of our product reviews, we provide you with a budget choice, a responsible choice and a premium choice.
The dutch oven is a great product to have in your kitchen because it is built so differently than a normal large pot with a lid. Yes, it’s heavy, but that’s what helps to build all those amazing flavors!
Responsibility
We could write entire newsletters on plant-based substitutes. We are working our way through our 1,000+ recipe inventory and adding ingredient swaps to every single recipe.
If you’re looking for a quick article to highlight some of the basics to get you started, check out our Easy Plant-Based Swaps for Everyday Meals article in our Responsibility section.
In this article you will find creative ways to remove animal products from your diet so you can help your community and animal population right from your home kitchen. For example, did you know you can use applesauce to replace eggs when baking muffins or cakes?!?!
Foodness Fun - Poll
As the school year comes to a close, parents can start to enjoy not making school lunches all the time. That led me to think about how much money we will be saving on peanut butter over the summer months.
Speaking of peanut butter…that’s a great food question that brings passion from both sides of the debate. We want to hear from you Foodness Followers!
