Recipes
Last week I challenged all of our Foodness Followers to embrace the salad in 2025. It is one of the most versatile options for lunch or dinner that we have in our home kitchens.
With so many different proteins, veggies, dressings and cheeses, this is truly one of the best options for those looking for high protein, low calorie, food-responsible or even a cheat meal (if you go with a fried protein and a creamy dressing).
We can start by incorporating new ingredients this year too! Look no further than our Bulgur Wheat Salad with Mozzarella. Bulgur wheat is a whole grain made from cracked wheat and is a staple in many Mediterranean and Turkish dishes. With this recipe, bulgur wheat replaces the leafy lettuce.
Many of us start to think about a better version of ourselves with the New Year. If you are struggling with where to start, I strongly suggest two options:
First, start with what is going in your body and look to the salad. Second, start walking. Just getting your body moving and nourishing it with something healthy can get the ball rolling to an improved you in 2025.
Remember to look for clever ingredient swaps and FAQs on more and more recipes every week!

Reviews
If you’re looking to up your salad game in 2025, check out this stainless steel salad spinner. It won’t crack and ensures you are cleaning your lettuce before every meal.
It’s so easy to use too! Add the lettuce, rinse with water, turn the handle, push the stop button and drain the water.
We used to rinse our lettuce then lay out a bunch of paper towels for our lettuce to dry. Half of our counter space was eaten up! With the right salad spinner, you can have your salad and your counter space.
