Poll Results - Do you dunk your Oreos?
The holidays are officially behind us and we are on to 2024! Happy New Year to all followers in our Foodness Family.
Turning our sights back to our poll question last week, the results were quite overwhelming. To dunk or not to dunk your Oreo…that was the question…and the results are clear.
72% of responders enjoy their Oreos without dunking!

Oreos are best eaten as Double Stuf with the cream enjoyed first followed by the chocolate cookies. No milk required.
Recipes
It’s January and that typically means temperatures are getting colder. There’s no better place to turn than comfort food!
Here is a recipe that we bring out every winter as it is a hit with adults and children because it is both delicious and fun to eat. Our Baked Brie in a Sourdough Bread Bowl should not intimidate. It’s soooo easy and any kids in your life would love to help.
You will need a baking sheet for this one, so check out our baking sheet reviews as well!
Remember to look for clever ingredient swaps and FAQs on more and more recipes every week!
Reviews
Over the holidays I was cutting veggies at a friend’s house and was using a very sharp knife with a really comfortable handle. It made me realize just how important great tools are to a home chef. This knife completely changed my cooking experience!
Our chef knife reviews can help you find your next addition to your home and allow you to have a similar great experience when you’re doing some chopping in your own kitchen.
Responsibility
A lot of people ask us what fruits or vegetables come into season during the months where temperatures are colder throughout most of the United States.
We talk about this and other great advice in our Seasonal Eating article and focus on fruits and veggies that come into season in the winter, such as:
Potatoes, Parsnips, Carrots, Rutabagas
Oranges, Grapefruits

We had a debate in our house recently about chili. Everyone loves it this time of year and it’s fantastic for leftovers (some might even say better). One of our favorite chili recipes is our White Bean Chicken Chili. We’ve also grown to love our dutch oven for all of our favorite chili recipes.
Now it’s your turn to weigh in on our debate. Is the debate about red vs. white chili? No. Chicken vs. beef chili? Nope.
Here’s the debate…
