My brother-in-law loves to give feedback on the Foodness Gracious newsletter. He certainly has an appreciation for salads (as long as they have both ranch dressing and blue cheese dressing!), but made a request that we highlight a recipe that includes one of his favorite proteins - sausage!

I leaned towards highlighting one of our many breakfast recipes that include sausage as the primary protein. However, I stumbled upon one of my favorite recipes that is absolutely perfect for the frigid temperatures many across the Midwest are experiencing. It is also perfect for anyone who loves a delicious Italian-inspired dish with a great glass of wine.

Our featured recipe this week is Cheesy Sausage Pasta Bake. This pasta is a perfect balance of sauce, cheese and the wonderful spices from the Italian sausage. If you love a glass of red wine with your pasta, you’ll even get some red wine in the ingredients as well!

This recipe should certainly satisfy my brother-in-law because it doesn’t go easy on the sausage. With 1.5 pounds of Italian pork sausage, you’re going to taste these amazing flavors in every single bite.

Warm up by the fire with a plate of Cheesy Sausage Pasta Bake. My brother-in-law will likely be eating a large plate of his own. He might even double the sausage!
